First-year students majoring in History Education at the Faculty of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences began their first lessons of the academic year in the "Museum-Exhibition" hall of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, organized by Orkhan Zamanov, a teacher from the Department of History and Archaeology. With the support of Dr. Jeyhun Eminli, the head of "Scientific Fund and Exhibition" of the institute, the students had their first archaeological excursion, directly familiarizing themselves with archaeological exhibits and findings.
During the excursion lessons held on September 26 and October 1, the subject teacher Orkhan Zamanov provided the students with comprehensive information related to the curriculum about the archaeological study of the world's material and cultural heritage, using Azerbaijan as an example, and about the archaeological samples stored in the museum-exhibition hall. Also, discussions were held with students based on archaeological samples, their study methods, and their place in the world.
Familiarity with the "Museum-Exhibition" hall of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS and the archaeological materials in the exhibition made a serious impression on the students, noticeably increasing their interest in the lesson. It should be noted that such excursion lessons serve to reinforce the theoretical knowledge acquired by students and are traditionally organized.
