Khazar University School of Science and Engineering Dean Dr. Fakhranda Efendiyeva paid a professional visit to Italy's Turin Polytechnic University on May 27-31, as part of the Erasmus+ international mobility program.
Polytechnic University hosted the Erasmus+ International Staff Training Week 2024, bringing together partner universities from all over the world.The event was organized by the Education Innovation and Development Center of the STUDI Department in order to increase the participants' competence in the internationalization of higher education.
Academic representatives of partner universities from 13 non-EU countries: Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Chile, China, Colombia, Japan, Kenya, Lebanon, Morocco, Republic of South Africa, USA and Uzbekistan took part in the event.
On the first day of the event, Acting Rector Prof. Elena Baralis and Vice-Rector Prof. Patrizia Lombardi from Polytechnic University welcomed attendees and spoke about the event's purpose. Following this, Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. Alberto Sapora introduced the session where the visiting universities gave their presentations.
The representatives discussed and exchanged experiences in three interactive seminars, creating valuable networking opportunities between partner universities. Throughout the week, the event included guided visits to the main campus of the Polytechnic University, the historic Valentino Castle, the city of Torino, and the Museum of Asian Art.
During the visit, Dr. Fakhranda Efendiyeva met with Vice-Rector for International Relations Prof. Alberto Sapora to discuss future updates to the international mobility program for interuniversity professors and students.
