On October 17, 2023, Khazar University Environmental Research Center Director Rovshan Abbasov was in a field trip with the students of the World School in Sumgait City.

First, Rovshan Abbasov informed about the cleanup project conducted in Sumgait in 2015-2020 in cooperation with "Pure Earth" organization and Sumgait Municipality. Later, 6-8 grade students of PU sector of Sumgayit World School

A field trip was organized to one of the cleanup sites around Sumgait. During the fieldwork, the Dunya school students visited an area that was previously subject to industrial pollution and later was cleaned from pollution. The students received detailed information about the historical pollution in the site and cleanup processes.
