On April 20, 2018, a literary-artistic ceremony “In search of Khazar” dedicated to Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli's, the founder of Khazar University, and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, anniversary was held in “Dunya” concert hall of the University.

University administration and students as well as participants of the symposium on “Global Education”, which was held at the University on the same day, participated in the ceremony.

A multifaceted and interesting composition consisted of a Presenter – Movie-monologue – Stage play – Pieces of Music, which was directed by Faiza Mehdiyeva, a staff member of AzTV channel, was demonstrated. The presenter of the ceremony was Mahammad Ali, a staff member of “Ictimai” Television.

The composition started with Hamlet Isakhanli’s short biography. The composition mainly dealt with intense negotiations between Hamlet Isakhanli and Cabinet of Ministers for the establishment of Khazar University, and ended with historical signature by Hasan Hasanov, Prime Minister, which approved permission for the establishment of the University. The roles of the play were performed by Mail Yagub (Hasan Hasanov) and Goshgar Maharramov (Saleh Mammadov, PhD in Economics), Tabriz Amrahli, an actor of Azerbaijan State Theater of Young Spectators (Rahim Rahimov, Rector of Institute of Economic Management affiliated with Cabinet of Ministers) and Nijat Ali, actor (Hamlet Isakhanli).

Mashati Jabbarova, instructor of Khazar University and soloist of the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev, performed a piece of music (“Do you remember”, composer Javanshir Guliyev) with lyrics by Hamlet Isakhanli, accompanied by Zulfiyya Sadigova, Head of Department of Music and Art of Khazar University. M.F.Akhundov, soloist of Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater, also performed a piece of music (“Ancient question”, composer Dilara Gulamova), with lyrics by Hamlet Isakhanli, with the same accompaniment. Moreover, a choral team consisting of students performed anthem of Khazar University with the same accompaniment.

At the end of the ceremony, Hamlet Isakhanli went on the stage under the applause of the audience. He warmly accepted birthday congratulations and expressed his gratitude for the ceremony.
