From November 28 to December 1, in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, World Championship in Wushu Sanda, one of the Eastern hand-to-hand fights, was held. At 80 kg weight class, Firidun Hasanov, senior student of Humanities and Social Sciences Department, at Khazar University, represented the country at the Championship. Getting victory over all his fellow competitors, Firidun Hasanov took the 1^st place and was named the World Champion again. He was awarded a gold medal.

It is worth mentioning that Firidun Hasanov had been the winner of several Asian, European and worldwide competitions before that.
