On April 17, 2016, rectors of Turkish universities participating in an education fair in Baku organized by KUNIB visited Khazar University. An official meeting was held with them in the Marble Hall with the participation of the Khazar administration, deans, and department chairs. First, Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, chair of the Department of Music and Fine Arts, led a brief concert in honor of the guests. The concert included solo vocal performances by Mehseti Jabbarova and Elchin Feyzullayev as well as a violin piece by Masrin Rzayeva. After the concert, Prof. Hamlet Isaxanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, spoke about Khazar’s foundation and its activities up until today. Then Professor Ramazan Korkmaz, head of KUNIB and Rector of Ardahan University, expressed his thanks to Prof. Isaxanli and Khazar University for the warm welcome. Professor Ahmet Agirakca, Rector of Mardin Artuklu University; Professor Ahmet Sinav, Rector of SANKO University; Professor Recep Ileri, Rector of Bursa Orhangazi University; and others made speeches to thank Khazar University and Prof. Isaxanli for the reception.

A banquet was given in honor of the guests at Shirvanshah Museum Restaurant.
