On July 7, 2025, the official opening ceremony of the Hospital of the Hasvet School of Veterinary Medicine at Khazar University took place. The event was attended by representatives of governmental bodies and international organizations, heads of higher education institutions, media representatives, prominent experts in the field, and students of the School of Veterinary Medicine. The ceremony commenced with the symbolic cutting of a carpet knot named “Ağaclı.” The “Tree of Life” motif depicted on the carpet, symbolizing earth, life, and eternity, imparted profound meaning to the spirit of the event.

The official part of the ceremony began with a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs of both Azerbaijan and Türkiye, followed by the national anthems of the two brotherly countries. Subsequently, opening speeches were delivered by the Founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli; Chairman of the Board of Hasvet Joint Stock Company, Mr. Hidayet Şimşek; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Prof. Birol Akgün; Head of the Animal Health and Biological Safety Department of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chief State Veterinary Inspector, Mr. Galib Abdulaliyev; Deputy Chairman of the Agricultural Services Agency, Mr. Anar Azimov; Director of the Veterinary Scientific Research Institute under the Ministry of Agriculture, Dr. Siala Rustamova; and Director of the Livestock Research Institute, Dr. Mahir Hajiyev. In speeches, they emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative in the veterinary education, scientific research, practical activities.

Following the opening speeches, the guests participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and joined a guided tour of the hospital. The event then continued with a cultural performance segment.
