On July 13, 2025, Khazar University's 54th graduation ceremony was held at the Baku Sports Palace. The event was attended by the university administration, deans, department heads, faculty and students, parents, alumni, and guests. Member of the Milli Majlis and Khazar University alumnus, Jeyhun Mammadov, also participated as a guest of honor.
The ceremony began with the the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The presenters reviewed the history of Khazar University's establishment and development, discussing its current achievements. It was noted that on June 18, 2025, Khazar University was ranked in the 401-600 range with a high indicator for Azerbaijan in the "THE University Impact Rankings 2025" rating table published by "Times Higher Education" (THE), one of the world's most prestigious ranking organizations, which identifies leading world universities distinguished by their social and economic contributions based on the UN's "Sustainable Development Goals" for 2025. In the "QS World University Rankings 2026" announced by the same organization on June 19, Khazar University was placed among the world's best 951-1000 universities.
Subsequently, the presentation of diplomas to bachelor's and master's degree recipients began. Graduates from the faculties of Natural Sciences and Engineering, Economics and Management, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Hasvet Veterinary Medicine, Graduate School of Science, Arts and Technology, and Graduate School of Economics and Business were invited to the stage. The diplomas were presented to graduates by university administration, faculty deans, department heads, teachers, and staff members.
Farhad Allahverdizade, a 2011 graduate of Khazar University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Deputy Director of the Azerbaijan Scientific Research Project Institute, congratulated the graduating students and wished them success in their new life paths.
It was noted that during the current academic year, three doctoral students from the university - Jamila Aghamaliyeva (Comparative-Historical and Comparative-Typological Linguistics), Abebe Girma Gule (General Economics), and Nazakat Zamanova (Organization and Planning of Education) - were awarded the Doctor of Philosophy degree and diploma by the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, congratulated Jamila Aghamaliyeva and Abebe Girma Gule on stage and wished them success in their scientific activities.
Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli then delivered a traditional speech discussing the university's achievements and upcoming tasks, and giving recommendations to the graduates.
The Khazar University anthem was sung. The graduates took an oath that they would be beneficial to their families, people, and homeland by applying the knowledge and skills acquired at Khazar University, and would preserve the honor of Khazar University. The oath text was read by School of Economics and Management graduates Fuad Amraliyev and Aytac Shahveranova.
Another traditional graduation ceremony of Khazar University came to an end.
