On April 1, 2016, a party was held in the Conference Room of Khazar University to celebrate the 60th birthday of Dr. Eldar Shahgaldiyev, Head of the Division for Graduate Students and Research, and the 50^th birthday of Shahin Isayev, Construction Manager. The emcee of the event was Baba Bayramli, Director of the Center for Alumni Relations, who began the event by speaking about Eldar Shahgaldiyev and Shahin Isayev’s work at Khazar. Then the audience watched slideshows about each person that had been prepared by the university’s Multimedia Center.

Professor Hamlet Isaxanli, the founder of Khazar University and Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, President Hassan Niknafs and Vice President Mahammad Nuriyev also made congratulatory speeches. They were followed by Firangiz Nasirova, Senior Instructor of the Department of English Language and Literature; Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director for Public Relations and Media; and Associate Professor Jabir Khalilov, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The event included a concert program by the Department of Music and Fine Arts, including vocal performances by Mahsati Jabbarova, vocal instructor at the university as well as soloist for Azerbaijan State Philharmonic; and Khayala Ilizarova, soloist for Musical Comedy Theater.

At the end of the event, Eldar Shahgaldiyev and Shahin Isayev thanked the university administration and participants.
