The next meeting of Khazar University's Scientific Council was held on May 16, 2025.

The meeting was opened by Professor Mehemmed Nuriyev, Acting Rector of Khazar University, who brought the agenda items to the attention of the Scientific Council members.

The first agenda item concerning information about graduates was presented by Fakhrende Afendiyeva, Dean of the School of Science and Engineering; Raziye Isayeva, Dean of the School of Economics and Management; Aygun Verdiyeva, Acting Dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences; Gunel Baheddinova, Dean of the Graduate School of Science, Art and Technology; and Ingilab Ahmedov, Dean of the Graduate School of Economics and Business. Detailed information was heard and discussions were held regarding the GPAs, specializations, and other aspects of the university's graduating undergraduate and graduate students.

The second agenda item was the appointment of a second scientific supervisor for doctoral student Valide Rafail qizi Aliyeva, who is studying in the specialty 3347.01 "Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials" (in the field of physics). Scientific Secretary Gunel Baheddinova provided detailed information about this matter. Associate Professor Levent Mustafa oglu Parali, Head of the Department of Electronics and Automation at Türkiye's Manisa Celal Bayar University, was appointed as the doctoral student's second scientific supervisor based on the Scientific Council's decision.

Professor Mehemmed Nuriyev noted that a new charter for the doctoral education level has been prepared by authorized personnel of Khazar University. The charter reflects new requirements related to scientific publications, course instruction, and the internal defense process at the doctoral level. The charter was discussed and adopted by the council members.

The next matter of the Scientific Council was the discussion of the university's appeal to the Scientific Council regarding the submission of a petition to the Higher Attestation Committee under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for granting the title of associate professor to Ulvi Allahverdi oglu Babasov, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Languages and Literature. The Scientific Council's secretary provided detailed information about the candidate. Subsequently, a counting commission was established and a secret ballot was conducted. The results were announced to the council members by the chairman of the counting commission, and a protocol was prepared.

At the end of the meeting, current issues were discussed.

All matters on the Scientific Council's agenda were discussed and appropriate decisions were adopted.
