On January 24, 2025, within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 program project "Development of Research Potential through Institutional Repositories Network in Azerbaijan" (DIRNA), which Khazar University coordinates and is funded by the European Commission, a webinar titled "Institutional Repository Implementation Plan" was conducted in alignment with the fifth work package.

The webinar was presented by Gültekin Gürdal, Library Director of İzmir Institute of Technology.

During the webinar, discussions focused on the structure of the unified Institutional Repository to be established under the DIRNA project, the integration of partner universities into this single system, the designation of responsible personnel from each university to execute the work, and the potential interoperability of the repository with other research systems.

As a result, it was concluded that for the sustainability of the DIRNA project, a strategic plan should be developed to develop a robust technical infrastructure and human resources, increase national and international collaborations, and enhance the accessibility and sustainability of research outcomes.
