On December 5, 2024, a meeting was held at the State Agency for Science and Higher Education with the agency's leadership and representatives from Khazar University and Izmir Institute of Technology (IIT; Türkiye), coordinated within the Erasmus+ DIRNA project.

The meeting was attended by State Agency for Science and Higher Education Director Ulker Sattarova and staff, Izmir Institute of Technology Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran, IIT Library Director Gültekin Gürdal, Khazar University Rector Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, and School of Economics and Management Dean Dr. Raziya Isayeva.

The main focus of the meeting was partnership opportunities within the "Research Potential Development through the Institutional Repositories Network in Azerbaijan" (DIRNA) project. The project's significance and its benefits for local universities in terms of scientific potential development were comprehensively analyzed. The current situation and future perspectives in international collaboration and scientific research were discussed.
