A seminar titled "Albanology in the Past and Present: Discussion on Scientific-Theoretical Problems" was held at Khazar University on October 16, 2024, organized by the Department of History and Archaeology and the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences (HESS). The seminar was conducted by Associate Professor Ellada Bekirova, Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS. The seminar was attended by Parvin Karimova, Deputy Dean of the School of Education and Social Sciences, Dr. Yagub Mammadov and Dr. Nurlan Nasirov from the Department of History and Archaeology, as well as students studying History Teaching and History and Geography Teaching.

The speaker provided extensive information about the territory, population, political history, religious beliefs, architectural monuments, as well as source studying and historiography of the Albanian state, and shared her thoughts about the main scientific-theoretical problems of albanology. At the end, there was a broad discussion about issues that concerned both instructors and students.
