On September 4, 2024, Khazar University hosted a delegation led by Yu Tianqi, Deputy Director General of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation at the Ministry of Education of China.

The meeting was attended by Khazar University's founder, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, along with Rector Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Prof. Mahammad Nuriyev, Development Director Raziya Isayeva, Director of the Chinese Research Center Dr. Akshin Aliyev, Head of the Department of Languages and Literature Assoc. Prof. Dilbar Zeynalova, Acting Dean of the School of Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences Aygun Verdiyeva, and Head of the International Relations Department Fatima Valiyeva.

A tripartite agreement was signed between the Center for Language Education and Cooperation, Anhui University, and Khazar University to establish a joint bachelor's program in Chinese language studies, alongside discussions to further enhance collaboration. Fatima Valiyeva and the visiting delegates gave presentations about the universities they represent. The delegation also visted Khazar University's Confucius class and met with the instructors. At the conclusion of the meeting, gifts were exchanged, and commemorative photos were taken.
