A delegation from Khazar University, including the university's founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, the Dean of the School of  Science and Engineering, Dr. Fakhranda Afandiyeva, and the Head of the Department of Physics and Electronics, Dr. Farida Tatardar, visited Tabriz, Islamic Republic of Iran, from August 25 to 30, 2024.

On August 27, the delegation attended the opening of the 11th International Conference titled "Chemistry and Environment – 2024" at Azerbaijan Shahid Madani University. During the event, a trilateral memorandum of understanding was signed between Khazar University, Azerbaijan Shahid Madani University, and Türkiye’s Erciyes University to foster collaboration in the fields of science and education.

In the opening of the conference, Dr. Mohammad Sadiq Azer, the rector of Azerbaijan Shahid Madani University, emphasized that the agreement represents a key step in enhancing scientific and educational ties among the three countries. He pointed out that exchanges of faculty members and students, collaborative research, and holding joint scientific conferences are in line with the goals of the agreement.

At the conference’s opening ceremony, speeches were given by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of Khazar University, and Prof. Dr. Fatih Altun, rector of Erciyes University in Türkiye. The conference spanned three days, featuring various presentations.

Additionally, during the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Khazar University and Tabriz University of Medical Sciences. The delegation visited the university's research centers and held discussions.
