Congratulations to Brilliant Windy Khairunnisa, the First Graduate of the Nailekhanim Scholarship!

Khazar University proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to Brilliant Windy Khairunnisa for her remarkable achievement as the first graduate of the prestigious Nailekhanim Foundation Scholarship. In an exclusive interview, she shares her inspiring journey, motivations, and future plans.

  • What inspired you to apply for the Nailekhanim scholarship?
  • I wasn't born into a favorable environment, especially for my mom. Every time she gave birth, those around her would insult her because all five of her children were girls. Therefore, especially as a middle child, I was raised with strong advice that despite being a girl, I should pursue education, broaden my knowledge, be resilient, and strive to achieve anything. Learning about the Nailekhanim scholarship initially sparked my ambition because it is exclusively for females. That's why I promptly prepared my documents, crafted my best essay, and submitted it, believing that a scholarship for women signifies a commitment to women's empowerment.
  • What does being the first graduate of the Nailekhanim scholarship mean to you?
  • I am deeply grateful—Alhamdulillah, praise be to Allah. I didn't anticipate this achievement. I feel relieved because I can prove to myself that possessing extensive knowledge, pursuing the highest degree possible, or contributing to others isn't about gender; it's about determination, ambition, and igniting our inner fire. Therefore, being the first graduate of the Nailekhanim scholarship represents setting an example, which might be challenging, but I hope to inspire others to exceed their perceived limitations.
  • What are your plans now that you have graduated? How do you intend to use the knowledge and experience gained?
  • I believe life is like a book—we must turn the page to move to the next chapter. After graduating, my immediate plan is to return to my country, meet my parents, and seek their blessings in person. I will continue my research journey with the knowledge and experience acquired from Khazar University. The outcomes of my research will be published and, hopefully, beneficial to fellow scholars, particularly those in my field of specialization. I firmly believe that the best individuals are those who contribute positively to others' lives.
  • What advice do you have for future applicants?
  • Being a Nailekhanim scholar means more than just being a typical scholar. It signifies being a role model for educated women and an advocate for women's empowerment. Therefore, seize this incredible opportunity. Educating one man impacts only one person, but educating one woman can influence and educate an entire generation.
