On May 24, 2024, the second-year students from Khazar University's Department of Geography and Environment received training at the National Hydrometeorological Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources as part of the "Meteorology and Climate Science” course (course instructorJavid Huseynov).
During the training session, students received comprehensive information about our country's hydrometeorological observation network, early warning systems, hydrometeorological stations, and the devices and equipment utilized at these stations. They also learned about the processing of observational data, the preparation and dissemination of forecasts and warnings. Subsequently, the students were introduced to technologies employed in forecast preparation, synoptic visualization, and the interpretation of satellite and radar data.
Throughout the training, experts from the National Hydrometeorology Service provided detailed answers to students' questions. Instructor Javid Huseynov expressed appreciation to the Service's management for their effective collaboration and the conducive learning environment provided.
