On May 23, the documentary film "Master and Tatyana" by Giedrė Žičkite was screened at the "GAIA" cinema hall in the Landmark business center. The film was translated into Azerbaijani by fourth-year translation students Asif Mammadov, Gulsun Hamidova, and Khalida Suleymanova, under the guidance of Khazar University's Department of English Language and Literature and the Center of Translation and Interpretation. The event was also attended by Sariyya Rashidova, one of the translators of the film "Jump" and Sonasi Valiyeva, the lecturer of the department.
Note that the film chronicles the life of the famous Lithuanian photographer Vitas Lutkus. He was the first person to go beyond the Lithuanian environment and document the spontaneous reality of the Soviet republics.
Before the screening of the film, Lithuanian chargé d'affaires in Azerbaijan Viktoras Dagilis expressed his gratitude to the administration of Khazar University for their support and gave the floor to Milana Ababsova, the head of the Department of English Language and Literature of the university. An award ceremony followed, recognizing the students who contributed to translating and subtitling the film in Azerbaijani.
