History and Archaeology Department Lecturer Orkhan Zamanov Initiates Seminar

On April 19, 2024, a seminar was organized by the initiative of Khazar University history and archeology department lecturer Orkhan Zamanov and the organization of the National Azerbaijan History Museum "Archeo" club. The topic of that seminar, organized in the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, was "Archaeological weapon collection of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History". In that seminar, the speaker of which was the head of the Museum's Archeology Scientific Fund Department, Assoc. Prof. Nasir Guluzade, the second year students of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences of Khazar University attended as participants.

During the seminar, students received detailed information about the origins of weapons, their evolution over time, typological classification, functionality, and historical application in warfare. They also had the opportunity to visually examine some examples of weapons unearthed during archaeological excavations. The lecture-style presentation aimed to reinforce the students' theoretical understanding of the "History of Wars" subject and broaden their knowledge of Azerbaijan's archaeological weaponry.

The interactive nature of the session fostered lively discussion and captured the students' interest.
