On February 19, 2024, an event was held on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day at the Monitoring Center under the State Language Commission of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Sevinj Aliyeva, director of the Monitoring Center, who opened the event with remarks emphasizing that a nation's language is the cornerstone of its identity, reflecting its cultural richness and historical journey.

At the event, Gulnar Ismayilova, the leading specialist of the Monitoring Center, delivered a report on "The language that keeps the nationality of each nation alive", and Dr. Sevinj Gambarova, a lecturer of the Department of Languages and Literatures of Khazar University, gave a report on "The lack of staff and methodological resources in teaching linguistics in higher schools". The event concluded with speeches from participants and engaging discussions on the presented topics.
