On February 26, 2024, a memorial event commemorating the 32nd anniversary of the Khojaly genocide took place at Khazar University's Downtown campus. Organized by the History and Archeology Department, faculty members, veterans, and students gathered to commemorate the memory of the Khojaly martyrs. The head of the department, Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoghlu, and the veterans spoke at the ceremony, songs and poems reflecting the solemnity of the memorial day were played and scenes were displayed.
