On November 8, 2023, an event in celebration of Azerbaijan's Victory Day was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kazakhstan organized the occasion, featuring the participation of accomplished Azerbaijani artists. Notable figures such as Zulfiyya Sadigova, head of Khazar University's Music and Art Department and a distinguished pianist, as well as honored artists Ilaha Efendiyeva and Farid Aliyev, were among the esteemed guests at the event.
Following the National Anthem of Kazakhstan, the National Anthem of Azerbaijan was skillfully performed by Ilaha Efendiyeva and Farid Aliyev accompanied on the piano by Zulfiyya Sadighova.
Ambassador Aghalar Atamoghlanov, addressing the gathering that included Azerbaijanis residing in Kazakhstan, Kazakh public figures, and members of the diplomatic corps in Almaty, provided comprehensive insights into the significance of the Victory Day. He highlighted that November 8, the Victory Day, has evolved into a celebration symbolizing the resilience and fortitude of the Azerbaijani people.
Bakitjan Bulegenov, the head of the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, addressed the audience, extending congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of the National Flag Day and the successful restoration of territorial integrity.
The program proceeded to the artistic segment, featuring performances by Ilaha Efendiyeva and Farid Aliyev, who showcased compositions by Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and European composers accompanied by Zulfiyya Sadighova on the piano.
