On October 18-20, 2023, the second part of the national seminar on "Strengthening the professional skills of women for the role of academic leadership" was held at ADA University under the auspices of the UNESCO National Participation Program.
In the 3-day seminar, Khazar University was represented by Arzu Badalova, coordinator of the International Relations Department, and Humay Huseynova, assistant to the rector.
The seminar’s objective is to scrutinize the current situation concerning the insufficient representation of women in leadership positions within higher education institutions and the general scientific community, to identify and deliberate on the factors impeding women's leadership in management.
At the seminar, Shams Mustafayeva, the liaison advisor at the UN resident coordinator's office in Azerbaijan, Shafaq Mehraliyeva, the director of the media and communication program of ADA University, and other trainers lectured on the topics of increasing leadership and professional development skills and advocating for gender equality in leadership through practical exercises and seminars.
The event concluded with a discussion and certificate presentation.
