The book "History of Turkish States and Cultures" jointly prepared by Telman Nusratoghlu, PhD in history, head of Khazar University History and Archeology Department and Akbar Najaf, has been published. The book, which is intended as a teaching aid for high schools, fills an important gap in Azerbaijan scientific. The book is recommended not only for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students studying history, but also for anyone who wants to get general and comprehensive information about Turkish history. In the eight-hundred-page book, it is possible to find detailed information about the Turkish states that arose in Asia, Africa and Europe from the earliest times to the 20th century, including political, social, economic, cultural and many other fields.
The greatest advantage of the work is its being written on the basis of a solid and comprehensive national concept. The book covers topics of great importance such as the geography of the Turks, their basic characteristics, access to history, the Huns, the Mongols, the Seljuks, the sources of Turkish history, and modernization in the Turkic world. The book "History of Turkish States and Cultures" has already taken its place in Azerbaijani historiography as an important reference source in terms of the history of Azerbaijan, which is an important part of Turkish history.
