On September 2023, 25-27, Khazar University staff members – Dr.Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management, Dr. Bahadir Baysal, coordinator of the Department of Economics and Management, Sabina Allahveranova, manager of the Career Center, Dr. Bayram Guliyev and Kamala Mustafayeva, lecturers of the Department of History and Archeology, visited Vilnius Gediminas Technical University as part of the ERASMUS+ PICASP project.
The main objectives of the PICASP ( Pilot Courses in Practice Enterprise to implement the University-Enterprise Cooperation for the development of Caspian Area) project are to develop new teaching methodologies with the Practice Enterprise, to develop courses on entrepreneurship and SME management, to enhance the exchange of best practices with European Union partners and to enforce the involving of stakeholders in the curriculum development and the employment of graduates.
Khazar University staff attended presentations on the following topics: "Groundbreaking technologies in tourism”, "Tourism Trends: The Latest Opportunities for the Tourism Industry", "Overview of the Lithuanian heritage protection system", "History of Lithuanian Jews - cultural heritage and history", "Possibilities of applying virtual tourism in Lithuania". They also visited the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania, the Gediminas Castle Tower, the National Museum of Lithuania, the ancient city of Vilnius and the Uzupis Republic.
During the management meeting held on the last day, Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov gave detailed information about the implementation of the project activities at Khazar University and the practical work done in accordance with the goals set and the prospects for its implementation in the future. The meeting ended with a discussion of current results, needs, expectations and future plans.
