Vlad Vernigora, vice-rector for International Relations of Khazar University and Director of the Institute of Asia-Pacific and African Studies/IAPAS, has just been appointed visiting professor of law at the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali /UNILAK (Rwanda).
An official letter dated June 6, 2023, signed by UNILAK vice-chancellor Professor Jean Ngamije, states that the visiting professorship is "awarded to eminent persons of recognized academic and professional standing".
This appointment is a significant step for both Khazar University, IAPAS and all parties involved in the cooperation in terms of close contact with African and Asia-Pacific countries.
In this context, Khazar University and UNILAK want to emphasize the importance of focusing on wide geographical coverage, research excellence, sustainable development everywhere, mutual respect and academic ethics, positivity in communication, and understanding of the shared role.
Vice-rector Vernigora's high-level appointment is scheduled for the period from June 2023 to December 2026.
