On May 25, 2023 an online seminar of Narmin Akhundova, the doctoral student pursuing her PhD at "Imperial College London" University, UK, under the tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Khazar University within the program "Doctoral Education Abroad to Increase the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-202, was organized through the Zoom platform at Khazar University.
At the seminar, Narmin Akhundova gave information about the scientific research she is currently working on and presented the preliminary results obtained. In the speech, the biological pathways that are believed to lead to muscle loss, the genes involved in those mechanisms, and the microRNAs that are supposed to play a role in the regulation of these genes were discussed in the sample of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.
The seminar aroused the interest of the academic staff and students of the Department of Life Sciences, and discussions were held on the topic.
