The seminar was opened by Dr. Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management of Khazar University, who gave detailed information about the PICASP project, cooperation with MIRAS, and the role of tourism in sustainable development.

Then, as the national partner of the Project, the administrative head of MIRAS Public Union, Doctor of Philosophy in History, Fariz Khalilli, delivered a speech.

The seminar covered archaeological research, protection and storage of movable and immovable archaeological finds, archaeological exhibitions organized in the country and abroad, archaeological museumization, surveying, conservation issues, international experience and other topics.

The seminar also discussed various aspects of the protection of the archaeological heritage on the example of the "Medieval Aghsu City" archaeological tourism complex, and informed about the educational projects (tours for getting acquainted, archeology camps, summer archeology school for schoolchildren et c.) implemented by MIRAS in the direction of the protection of the archaeological heritage. The seminar was organized in a hybrid format.
