On February 13-17, 2023, a delegation from Dumlupinar University located in Kutahya, Türkiye, consisting of Elmas Donmez, the lecturer of the University and an employee of the International Relations Office, Assoc. Dr. Eray Acar, deputy dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management, and, Osman Achar, the lecturer of the Faculty of Education visited the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, the School of Economics and Management and the International Relations Office of Khazar University within the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility Exchange Program (Erasmus+ KA107171).
On the first day of the program, Vlad Vernygora, vice-rector for International Relations, Alovsat Amirbeyli, director of Public Relations and Media, Jeyhun Mammadov, dean of the School of Economics and Management, Tatyana Zaytseva, director of the Library Information Center (LIC), Aytaj Misgarli, deputy director of the LIC, Rasoul Moradi, coordinator of the Chemical Engineering Department, Huseyn Aliyev and Fatima Valiyeva, the coordinators of the International Relations office, as well as other employees, had an introductory meeting with the Turkish teaching staff. The memory of those who died in the earthquake that hit Türkiye was commemorated in silence. At the meeting, Vlad Vernygora gave detailed information about Khazar University. Representatives of Dumlupinar University demonstrated a video about the university.
According to the program, the guests were introduced to the activities of the University's Library Information Center by Aytac Misgarli, the deputy director of the Center. Public Relations and Media director Alovsat Amirbeyli gave detailed information to the guests about the exhibits reflecting the life and activities of Nailekhanim Isayeva at the Nailekhanim Cultural Center.
Then the head of Physics and Electronics Department, Farida Tatardar, introduced the guests to the activities of the department and Nanotechnology laboratory.
On the second day of the program, a workshop on "Internationalization in Higher Education Institutions" was held by Vlad Vernygora, vice-rector for International Relations.
Dean of the School of Economics and Management, Jeyhun Mammadov, gave information about the school's activities and held negotiations in the direction of interdepartmental cooperation between the two universities.
The guests visited the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences and the dean Elza Samadova gave information about the activities of the school and held negotiations in the direction of cooperation. The coordinators of the International relations office gave information about the office and its activities to the representative.
On February 14, the guests took part in the event dedicated to the Memorial Day of martyr Lieutenant Murad Nagiyev. Then they visited "Alley of Martyrs", "Baku Turkish Martyrs' Memorial”, got acquainted with "Highland Park" and "Flame Towers".
On the last day of the visit, the delegation of Dumlupinar University participated in the international conference "From the Eastern Partnership of the EU to the Central Asian Policy of the EU: Continuity and Change" organized by the Department of Political Sciences and Philosophy of Khazar University in cooperation with the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. Then they went on an excursion to the "Ateshgah Temple" State Historical-Architectural Reserve.
At the end of the program, a certificate and a gift were presented to the delegation.
