On January 17-18, 2023, Ayaz Mammadov, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Coordinator of Veterinary Medicine of Khazar University Life Sciences Department, participated at the international conference "Sustainable animal husbandry and animal welfare" organized by the Ministry of Health and Science of Ukraine, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Water Bioresources, and Department of Molecular Sciences, Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
At the two-day conference, A. Mammadov made a speech on the topic "Attitude of farmers and consumers towards animal welfare: Azerbaijan's experience". The main points of the survey conducted by the Department of Life Sciences within the framework of the "Happy Animals for Sustainable Production and Consumption (HANimSPAC)" project regarding the attitude of farmers and consumers to animal welfare were brought to the attention of the conference participants.
Note that leading scientists, researchers, faculty members and doctoral students of higher education institutions from Ukraine, Sweden, Poland, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Denmark, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Ethiopia and the USA took part in the international event.
