On January 9, 2023, the book "My Karabakh or the Karabakh Knot" was presented on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founder of Khazar University, the chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees, professor, academician Hamlet Isakhanli, at the Baku representative office of the Yunus Amre Institute. The administration and employees of Yunus Emre Institute Baku representative office and Khazar University, press representatives of Türkiye and Azerbaijan, public figures, representatives of culture and science took part in the event.
Selchuk Karakılıch, the head of Yunus Emre Institute's Baku representative office, gave a speech and expressed his opinion about the book and its author: " "Hamlet Isakhanlı, as the founder of the school, is one of the most important figures in the field of human development and education in Azerbaijan. There are some people whose purpose of existence is only to serve humanity, that is, to raise human beings. Such creative people, born with deep human love in their hearts, were born just to "build and create". There is no incongruous thinking or negativity in their inner world of tearing down and destroying, their literature, on the contrary, they are sure to create new things by thinking positively, believing that the sun will rise again under any influence. Hamlet Isakhanli was one of those who wanted to raise the Azerbaijani people to the global level all over the world and educate them correctly. With the schools, universities and books he wrote, he continues to speak and educate people. What makes him different and valuable is his high intelligence and understanding of what is happening in the world. Hamlet Isakhanli is a legendary portrait of Azerbaijan as an original and unusual intellectual, whose heart is full of compassion and scientific wisdom."
Selchuk Karakılıch also said that the book will play an important role in conveying the truths of Karabakh to the world community.
Hamlet Isakhanli, the author of the book, spoke about the history of the book: "It is a work from the heart. I wrote the book in Azerbaijani and English. It was first published in English. It is being translated into Russian. More have been written and will be written about Karabakh. My main goal was to be as objective as possible. When I wrote the book, I used reliable sources. The beautiful Karabakh has caused tension, confrontation, enmity and wars between Azerbaijan and Armenia, between Azerbaijanis and Armenians. How did this happen? Why did it happen? What is at the root of this issue? What caused the deadlock, the knot that cannot be untied? Can it be tied? These and similar questions, as well as thoughts about the Second Karabakh war, which took place in the fall of 2020, called me to work on this writing."
The presentation of the book ended with discussions.
