On December 14, 2022, students of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences majoring in History (II course) and History-Geography (I course) under the guidance of Yagub Mammadov, the lecturer of the Department of History and Archeology of Khazar University, doctor of Philosophy in History, participated in the seminar on "Stone hills: the early geography of civilization" (from the world cultural heritage series dedicated to the archaeological monument "Gobeklitepe" located near the city of Sanliurfa, Türkiye) held by the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography and Anthropology of ANAS.
At the seminar, Prof. Dr. Necmi Karul, the head of the "Prehistoric archaeology" department at the Archaeological Department of Istanbul University, the general manager of the "Stone Mounds" project appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye made a speech on "Stone Mounds Project: Gobeklitepe and Karahantepe Excavations". Assoc. Prof. Eylem Özdoğan, an employee of the same department, delivered a speech on "Sayburj" – discovery of a new Neolithic monument in Shanlıurfa.
Then discussions on the topic were held and questions were answered.
