Rovshan Abbasov, Head of the Department of Geography and Environment at Khazar University, has prepared a handbook on “Integrated Land Use Management of Municipal Land in the Mountain areas of Azerbaijan”. This handbook was developed within the 'Integrated Management of Biodiversity in the South Caucasus' program (IBiS), which is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and jointly implemented by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the Ismayilli Executive District and German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ). This handbook serves as a guidance, providing knowledge and practical skills for improving integrated land use. Hence, the handbook addresses mainly municipality representatives, land managers, government officials and all their partners involved in land management in mountain regions. It can be also used by private lands owners, research workers, students, community members, managers of touristic companies.
