Khazar University has become the first member from Azerbaijan of the Global Coalition for Ukrainian Studies, which includes leading universities such as the University of Cambridge, Columbia University, the University of Helsinki, Sorbonne University, Lund University, and others.

During the meeting held on July 23, 2026, joint scientific and cultural relations and their development prospects were discussed. Within the framework of future cooperation, the parties reached an agreement on opportunities for cooperation in conducting joint research together with Ukraine and member universities, organizing joint events, creating dual diploma programs, developing existing relations, and other areas.

The signing ceremony was held at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the participation of Yuriy Husyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Dr. Razia Isaeva, Rector of Khazar University, and other representatives.
