Nasar Hayat, FAO Representative for Azerbaijan, and a delegation from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) visited the Hasvet School of Veterinary Medicine and its teaching clinic at Khazar University on July 22, 2026. During the visit, cooperation opportunities in the fields of veterinary medicine, food security, and the "One Health" approach were discussed between the FAO delegation and Dr. Razia Isaeva, Rector of Khazar University, and Dr. Chichak Aliyeva, Dean of the Hasvet School of Veterinary Medicine. A detailed exchange of views was held on the development of veterinary education in line with international standards, strengthening students' practical training, expanding research activities, as well as training programs, projects, and academic initiatives that could be jointly carried out with FAO.
During the meeting, the guests were given detailed information about the educational programs, modern material and technical base, laboratories, teaching infrastructure, and directions of international cooperation of the Hasvet School of Veterinary Medicine. The delegation became acquainted with the teaching clinic operating under the school, and was informed about the modern diagnostic and treatment capabilities, teaching environment, and practical training system established there.
