Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev, Head of the Department of Political Science and Philosophy at Khazar University, gave a comment to AZERTAC on September 17, 2026, regarding the reconstruction and restoration efforts carried out in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, the visit of diplomatic corps representatives to the region, Azerbaijan–Armenia relations, and the formation of a new regional order in the South Caucasus.

Assoc. Prof. Orkhan Valiyev noted the importance of the visit in terms of demonstrating the processes taking place in the region directly to the international community and touched upon the importance of signing a peace agreement, delimitation of borders, and the opening of regional communications in the post-conflict period. He also shared his views on the prospects for sustainable peace, economic cooperation, and the development of regional communications in the South Caucasus.
