On February 25, 2016, a traditional roundtable lesson of the Department of History and Archeology was held on the topic of Caucasian Albania. This seminar was entitled “Classical Authors on Caucasian Albania and Ancient Archeology.” Participants included young and professional researchers from Khazar University, Baku State University and University of Pennsylvania as well as the Archology and Ethnography Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.

The seminar was a logical continuation of a previous seminar held on December 18, 2015 on “The Roman Empire and South Caucasus.” It began with historical research methodology and ended with a discussion of academic issues such as the analysis of ancient materials and texts. American archeologist Lara Fabian shared her research and experience in classical archeology. Specialists including Farda Asadov, Mubariz Khalilov, Rukhsara Guliyeva, Lara Fabian, Roza Arazova, Orkhan Zamanov, and Yagana Chaghlayan participated in the seminar.
