An open meeting of the Board was held on September 16, 2026, in the Marble Hall of Khazar University on the occasion of Hidayet Simsek's election as a member of the Board of Directors and Trustees. The joining of the Chairman of the Board of Hasvet A.Ş. to the Board was assessed as a strategic step serving the university's long-term development goals and expanding institutional partnership and opportunities for joint activity.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Acad. Hamlet Isakhanli, founder of Khazar University and Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees. He spoke about the path of development the university has traveled since its founding, the academic traditions it has shaped, and the strategic goals ahead. The presentation, held in the context of the university's future development, carried particular significance in terms of building new partnerships and sharing institutional responsibility.

A video dedicated to Hidayet Simsek's activity was then shown.

A graduate of Ankara University's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Hidayet Simsek later completed a master's degree in business administration at Antalya Bilim University. He has developed the activity of Hasvet Medikal, the company he founded in 2009, in the directions of education, technology, and clinical services alongside the supply of veterinary equipment. Through the Hasvet Academy and professional training platforms, he has contributed to the continuous development of specialists and has led the creation of modern veterinary hospitals.

One of the key areas of his activity in Azerbaijan is the establishment of Hasvet Baku International Animal Hospital in Baku. This initiative has laid the groundwork for expanding cooperation between Khazar University and Hasvet in veterinary education, clinical training, and research activity. Hidayet Simsek's joining of the Board opens new opportunities for more closely linking this cooperation with the university's overall development agenda.

After the biographical presentation and the video, the floor was given to Hidayet Simsek. The presentation program continued with his speech.
