A book “Some Thoughts on Quran Translation” authored by Alirza Balayev, Honored Journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of “Khazar Review” journal, a publication of Khazar University, was published by publishing house “Elm və təhsil” (Literary translation: “Science and Education”). In the book, the author justifies that "kafir" (unbeliever) in English and Russian translation of Quran as well as the translation of some concepts such as "Masjid al-Harām", "Beyt-al-Haram", "Shehr-al Haram" in Azerbaijani, Russian and English are mistranslated and suggests correct translation models.

The booklet was published on the basis of the Letter of Agreement of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated 03.09.2018, numbered DK-916/M.
