On 4-7 December, “The First Chinese Week at Khazar University” hosted by Library Information Centre (LIC) of the University was held at Khazar University.

Pedagogical staff and students of Khazar University, deans and lecturers of Confucius Institute of Baku State University participated in the opening ceremony held on 4 December.

Aytaj Misgerli, Deputy Director of LIC, opened the event by welcoming the guests. Speeches were also delivered by Assoc. Prof. Irada Khalilova, Khazar University Vice Rector for Research, Luo Xiaozhi, Dean of Confucius Institute, Li Ya, Khazar University lecturer on Chinese language and its culture and Samira Orujova, a staff of LIC.

Later, the students of School of Economics and Management interested in Chinese made their presentations in Chinese, Azerbaijani and English. Practical works from Chinese folklore were demonstrated in the second half of the event. The participants highly appreciated the event.
