On November 13, 2017, the team “The Chain” organized a one-day info session at Khazar University within the International Education Week, organized by the International Affairs Office. During the info session, the team members gave information to staff and students about their campaign. The main purpose was to enhance the scope of the campaign, inform more people and invite others to support the campaign.
The event was well-attended by the staff members and students of the university – about one hundred people signed up for a chance to win one of the campaign branded cups. During the event, the attendees were encouraged to take a photo with #iampartofthechain hashtag and share it on their social media accounts. This will help the team to reach a bigger audience and make the scope of the campaign global.
“The Chain” is a social media campaign designed by the students of Khazar University to fight hate-speech online. The campaign is carried out within the university’s participation in the “P2P: Facebook Global Digital Challenge” project sponsored by Facebook and managed by EdVenture Partners.
