UN Office in Azerbaijan organized a ceremony on October 24, 2017, to commemorate 72^th anniversary of UN (UN Day) and 25th Anniversary of UN-Azerbaijan relations.

The ceremony started with the national anthem of Azerbaijan. Mahsati Jabbarova, a teacher of Khazar University and the soloist of the State Academic Philharmonic named after Muslim Magomayev, performed the anthem. Mahsati Jabbarova was accompanied by Chamber orchestra of Khazar University.

Ghulam Isaczai, a Coordinator of UN Office in Azerbaijan and Office representative of UN Development Program, as well as Mahmud Mammadguliyev, Deputy Foreign Minister, delivered a speech in official part of the ceremony. A video message by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres was played.

Baba Bayramli, Director of Centre of Affairs on Graduates of Khazar University, participated in the ceremony.

In the artistic part of the ceremony, Chamber orchestra of Khazar University and Mahsati Jabbarova performed a concert program consisting of pieces of music by Azerbaijani composers under guide by honored teacher, pianist, Associate Professor Zulfiyya Sadigova, Director of the Department of Music and Art.
