On October 24, 2017, Andreas Schacner, a lecturer on Anatolian archeology and prehistoric culture at the German Archeology Institute in Istanbul and the director of Bogazkoy-Hattusa archeological excavation, participated, on the initiative of History and Archeology Department of Khazar University, in the lesson ‘History of Ancient East’ , a course for the students majoring in History Studies and Primary Education. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Hassan Niknafs, rector of Khazar University, Alovsat Amirbeyli, Director of Public Relations and Media, Roza Arazova, head of the department of History and Archeology, Orkhan Zamanov, an instructor, Ulviyya Heydarova, a scientist at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Roza Arazova opened the meeting and introduced Andreas Schacner to the students. Andreas Schacner delivered a presentation on Hattusa, the capital city of the Hittites and answered the students’ questions.
At the end of the meeting, Roza Arazova gave a gift to the guest and they took a memory photo together.
