On June 4-11, 2017, Jeyhun Mammadov, Dean of the school of Economics and Management and the instructor Nijat Garayev as well as Dr. Mukhtar Hajizade, Head of the Department of Political Science and International Relations and the instructor, Zivar Huseynova were on a business trip at University of Oldenburgh within the second phase of the project called Erasmus+PROMIG.
The purpose of the visit was to share the experience with the future staff of the Master of Science Program in Migration to be established at Tabesh University of Afghanistan that was gained through newly founded Migration Research Centers in South Caucasus within TEMPUS/UNIMIG project, as well as by means of teaching graduate programs, and to improve the existing achievements.
During the project, the main work consisted of the preparation of curriculum on migration, its design for Tabesh University together with the academic staff of the same university and discussions over the topic. At the same time, the meetings were held with non-governmental organizations and institutions of Germany specialized in the management and learning of migration.
The trip ended with the conference with the attendance of all the participants along with the students of master programs of relevant universities. The discussions were made about the conduction of scientific research, topics of the research, collection of data during the studies and difficulties related to its analysis as well as possible solutions.
Khazar University is an actively participating partner in the project and aims at gaining new achievements in research by expanding its relations with other universities at the second stage of the project.
