On 10 May, 2017, Marek Calka, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Poland Republic to Azerbaijan and Anna Witak, the 3rd Secretary of the Embassy Anna Witak visited Khazar University. Hassan Niknafs, Rector of the University, accepted the Polish ambassador and the 3rd Secretary, and gave detailed information to the guests about scientific activities of the university. Later, the polish diplomats together with students of the Department of History and Archeology listened to the lecture dedicated to the history of Poles who lived and worked in Azerbaijan hundred years ago. The Polish ambassador and the instructor of the department Nesiman Yagublu made speeches and talked about the glorious history of Poles who lived and worked in Azerbaijan.
Later Prof. Hamlet Isakhanli, the founder of Khazar University, the Chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees met with the polish diplomats. He gave them information about the establishment history of the university and its activities so far. Ambassador Marek Calka emphasized that relationships between Poland and Azerbaijan are developing rapidly and he offered to hold a conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of two countries in future together in cooperation with Khazar University.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the university administration for pleasant acceptance. The 3rd Secretary of the Embassy Anna Witak and Director of Media and PR Office Mr. Alovsat Amirbayli participated at the meetings.
