On April 17, 2024, Prof. Dr.  Mehmet Karakoch, rector of Türkiye's Dicle University, and Jihad Gunduz, representative of the International Relations Department of the School of Foreign Languages, paid an official visit to Khazar University. Khazar University vice-rector for Educational Affairs Mahammad Nuriyev and Public Relations and Media director Alovsat Amirbeyli briefed the guests on the university's history and ongoing initiatives. Later, Dicle University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Karakoch spoke about the activities of the university he represents. Assoc. Prof. Telman Nusratoghlu, head of Khazar University's History and Archeology Department, Dr. Sohrab Mustafayev, department’s lecturer , Turan Alizade, coordinator of the International Relations office, Aygun Verdiyeva, deputy dean of the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, also participated in the event. The meeting concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two universities and the exchange of gifts.
