On November 23-24, 2016, Araz Aslanli, instructor for Khazar University Department of History and Archeology, gave lectures at two conferences held in Istanbul, Turkey.
Araz Aslanli gave his first lecture on “Recent Processes in the South Caucasus and the Karabakh Problem” at Marmara University. He explained the causes of the Karabakh problem and reasons why it remains unresolved, including the negative consequences and risks it creates for Azerbaijan, the region and the world. After the lecture, he answered the audience’s questions.
On November 24, Araz Aslanli gave a presentation in the “Balkans of Eurasia: Power Wars in the Caucasus Region” Conference in Istanbul Sehir University. The lecture covered the significance of the Caucasus region for global and regional powers, historical competition over the region, and currently unfolding processes. After the lecture, he answered participants’ questions.
