On May 12, 2026, within the international academic cooperation at Khazar University, teachers and students from the University of Asian Peoples of Uzbekistan attended as guest participants in an Azerbaijani literature class taught by PhD in Philology Gulshana Khudiyeva of the Psychology program at the School of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.
During the class, students Xumar Karimli, Ayan Yusifli, Esmira Sadullayeva, Fatima Mammadova, Hayrunnisa Polat and Sevinc Isayeva presented their projects dedicated to the life and work of Azerbaijani People's Poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzade. During the presentations, the students provided detailed information about the poet's life and literary activity in both Azerbaijani and English.
As part of the project, the students visited Bakhtiyar Vahabzade's house-museum and presented footage taken there along with an interview with the museum's director, Elshan Zakariyyabali.
Later in the class, the students performed a short theatrical scene based on the poet's poem dedicated to January 20 martyr Larisa Mammadova.
During the presentation of "A Spider Spun a Web" from the poet's poems published under the title "Voices from the Chest," the students' use of a small chest drew considerable interest from the audience.
In the entertaining quiz segment, the Uzbek students also participated actively, answering questions and winning small prizes.
One of the most memorable moments of the class was the presentation of the poem "Like a Waterfall in the Mountains." The scene prepared by the students in pantomime captivated the guests with its distinctiveness and strong emotional impact.
The event concluded with a group photo. The visiting students from Uzbekistan extended an invitation to Khazar University students to visit their country.
