Dr. Razia Isaeva, Rector of Khazar University, attended the closing ceremony of the "IT SkillSprint" program on July 17, 2026.

Fourteen students of Khazar University, studying in the "Computer Science," "Computer Engineering," and "Information Security" specialties, successfully completed and graduated from the international-level intensive "IT SkillSprint" educational program.

The program was carried out by the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the State Agency for Science and Higher Education (SASHE) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, together with the international technology education company Ironhack. The main goal of the project is to contribute to training internationally competitive human capital in the field of information technologies, in line with the requirements of the digital economy.

Within the six-month program, students took part in intensive hybrid-format training in the areas of Data & AI, Cybersecurity & AI, Web Development & AI, and DevOps & AI. During the training, organized on a "bootcamp" model, participants worked with international experts and mentors, gained practical experience on real projects, took part in hackathons, built professional portfolios, and joined career fairs and networking events.

Rector Dr. R. Isaeva congratulated the university students who successfully completed the program, met with them for commemorative photos, and expressed her confidence that the knowledge and skills they gained through this international-level initiative would play an important role in their future professional careers.

At the closing ceremony, speeches were delivered by Rashad Hasanov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport; Hasan Hasanli, Deputy Minister of Science and Education; as well as Gonzalo Manrique Sabatel, Director of Ironhack, the project's international partner. The speeches emphasized that the program has formed an effective model of cooperation between higher education and the labor market, making a significant contribution to preparing students as specialists competitive in both the domestic and international labor markets.

In the first stage of the "IT SkillSprint" program, a total of 120 students from 9 higher education institutions across the country graduated.
