Dr. Farida Seyidova, coordinator of Khazar University's Mawlana Institute of Literary and Philosophical Studies, and Assoc. Prof. Khatira Yusifova, lecturer at the Department of Languages and Literatures, participated in an international scientific conference held on April 2–4, 2026, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
The International Turkic Culture Symposium, dedicated to Prof. Tore Mirzayeva, was organized through the collaboration of a broad range of institutional co-organizers. The symposium was jointly organized by the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Institute of Uzbek Language, Literature and Folklore, the State Literary Museum named after Alisher Navoi, the Institute of Oriental Studies named after Abu Rayhan Biruni, the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi, the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, the Institute for Turkish Cultural Research, Ege University, the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, the Eurasian Studies Institute of Dongduk University of South Korea, the Turkish Archaeological Cultural Heritage Institute, and the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY).
Within the framework of the symposium, Farida Seyidova delivered a paper titled "An Uzbek Representative of the Azerbaijani-Origin Khalvatiyya Sufi School: Yaqub Khan Kashghari," while Khatira Yusifova presented on "The Main Directions of Academic Research in the Field of Ottoman Literature in Azerbaijan in the 20th Century." The symposium holds significant value as an important scientific platform for the study, preservation, and transmission of the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations.
